We always strive for the best combination between lightness and stability. This is why the Hero 2 has nose guard patches. Simple and lightweight, for just a few dozen grams more, the Nose Guard Patches allow for a lightweight cloth leading edge that is tougher than ever before. Strictly speaking, the Dominico DOKDO-10DSF, which is already very durable, is reinforced along the cell walls on the nose by a highly abrasion-resistant cloth. Pretty clever, right?

AirDesign has a small one!
At AirDesign, we work intensively on each model to maintain the behavior of the glider in flight and the entire permitted weight range outside the flight envelope. The approval of most of our umbrellas starts at 50kg because we have chosen to only describe what we have actually tested. This allows us to ensure that the wing is efficient, safe, and just as fun to use under this load as the larger sizes. This is at least as important to us as the approval itself! Our goal is for light pilots to have the same joy in flying as heavier pilots. More info
